CBSE board exams 2021: Important announcements you need to know

According to the official announcement, the CBSE board exams 2021 will be held in written mode only and will be conducted from May 4, 2021, to June 10, 2021. Practical exams for the same will start from March 1, 2021, in the respective schools.

Students run petition for cancellation upcoming exams
Many students have voiced their concerns against the conduction of the exams and also started a petition to cancel exams for their academic year.

The petition stated that a lot of students were not able to attend online classes regularly during the pandemic due to the lack of resources and proper internet facilities because of their financial disruptions.

Reasons why students are pushing for exam cancellation
The main reason why students are pushing for the cancellation of the exams is that online classes due to the Covid-19 pandemic have not been as helpful as classroom teaching. However, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal had already released CBSE board exams 2021 official dates

CBSE changes exam pattern
CBSE has also changed the question paper pattern for class 12. Note that weightage for MCQs has been increased by 10 percent in the sample questions released by the board for the class 12 exam.

CBSE has also reduced the syllabus by up to 30 percent for the 2020-2021 academic session for classes 9 to 12.

CBSE Board Exams 2021: Steps to download datesheet
1. Visit the official website of cbse – cbse.nic.in .

2. Under the announcement section, click on the link that reads ‘CBSE schedule for 10th and 12th’.

3. Click on the class 10th or 12th link.

4. A new page will appear on the screen with a PDF file.

5. Save and download the date sheet for future reference.

Education minister advises students to start preparing for exam
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal made it clear that further syllabus deduction for the upcoming board exams was unlikely and advised students to start preparing for the board exams.
