MP Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021: Exam pattern changed, no long form questions

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has recently announced that the examination pattern for the MP Class 10 and 12 board exams 2021 has been changed, most likely in view of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic situation.

The MP board has also stated that the revised examination pattern for the MPBSE board exams 2021 for class 10 and 12 students will follow the 30 percent reduction in the syllabus for this year and will also introduce some key changes in the question paper.

The Madhya Pradesh board shared the details of the question paper pattern, which stated that the paper will feature three types of questions for board exams 2021- objective, subjective and analytical questions.

Key changed in MP Board exams 2021 paper pattern
According to MPBSE, the format of the question paper has been changed this year to help the students cope with academic pressure. The board has decided to do away with the long-form questions and has introduced Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).

The overall length of the answers has also been reduced as the long answer type questions will not be a part of the paper. The maximum number of marks for any question in the examination can be 4, as per the board.

The paper pattern will be as follows-

A total of 30 objective questions in the form of MCQs will be there in the paper for 1 mark each.
A total of 3 to 5 subjective questions will be there in the paper for 3 marks each. The word limit for the same will be 75 to 100 words.
A total number of 6 analytical questions will be there in the paper for 4 marks each. The word limit for the same will be 125 to 150 words.
This year, the Central Board of Secondary Education has also announced a 30 percent syllabus reduction for the CBSE board exams 2021. Though no final dates have been announced for the board exams yet, many states have decided to conduct the exams in a written format.
